I reviewed the information you had posted on your web site concerning the
domain name AOLSearch.com. I am very familiar with the operations of NSI as
it relates to the administration of domains, their transfer, and their
modification.

If you review the notification you received from NSI you will see that they
did not delete the domain from you, the TRANSFERRED it to AOL. The template
was sent to you notifying you of the change. In order for a modification
template to be processed in this manner the only two methods I know is the
submission of a Registrant Name Change Agreement (RNCA) or by a court order.
The WHOIS record shown blow clearly indicates the record was created on
6/22/98. It also appears as if they carried over the fee you paid to AOL
for the remainder of the 2 years.

The explanation provided to by Becky Burr is not possible. If AOL had
proceeded with the dispute policy and been successful this would have
resulted in the domain being placed "on hold." Under no circumstances
(except a court order) would the registration be modified to transfer
ownership in this manner.

I also see the e-mail transferring the domain name was sent by the attorney,
James Davis of the Arent Fox law firm
http://www.arentfox.com/bios/davisr.html. I very strongly suggest you
consider filing a complaint with the Bar Association of the District of
Columbia http://www.dcbar.org/. The DC Bar already has complaint before
them concerning allegations that some attorneys from another major DC law
firm misrepresented the law and made false threats of court action in an
effort to obtain a domain. Your case appears much more serious and I would
also consider criminal charges.

If you have any questions about these matters do not hesitate to contact me.
